Hi. I can confirm that after deleting the files you mentioned from the date directory, the indicators on the screen started updating. I only had a problem with version 5_4_4 not recognizing the available theme files. I had to revert to version 5_2_3, run it, select the appropriate theme, and reinstall version 5_4_4.
