Bug: TURMO constantly accesses HDDs even when HDD information is not used by the theme Hello. I have found a problem with HDD monitoring in the TURMO software. TURMO constantly accesses my hard drives, causing them to regularly perform read/access operations even when the computer is not actually using these drives. Because of this, the hard drives constantly wake up and produce the characteristic sound of mechanical HDD activity. When I completely close TURMO, the continuous HDD activity stops. My hard drives: Seagate ST2000DM006-2DM164 — 2 TB

Important additional information I tested the problem with several different themes. The problem does not only occur with themes that display HDD information. I also tested themes that do not contain any HDD-related parameters at all, but TURMO still continues to access the HDDs and causes continuous disk activity. Therefore, the problem does not seem to be related to a specific HDD parameter or to a particular theme. Steps to reproduce:
Connect the HDDs to the computer.
Start TURMO.
Select any theme, including a theme that does not display any HDD information.
Leave the computer idle and do not access files on the HDDs.
The HDDs regularly wake up and perform access/read operations.
Completely close TURMO — the continuous HDD activity stops. The problem is especially noticeable with my 8 TB HDD because its mechanical activity is clearly audible. Temporary workaround I have found only one way to completely solve the problem: using third-party monitoring software that allows me to disable HDD polling or low-level HDD access. After disabling this access, the continuous HDD activity disappears. However, third-party software is not a complete replacement for TURMO for me because I specifically need the features of the official software, including: the ability to use and create custom themes;
the ability to display FPS;
the ability to configure parameters and sensors directly in TURMO. Therefore, I would prefer to continue using the official TURMO software, but without constant HDD access. Suggested fix Please check the HDD information monitoring/access mechanism. If the selected theme does not use any HDD-related parameters, TURMO should not access the HDDs at all. It would be great if you could: prevent HDD polling when HDD parameters are not used by the current theme;
or add an option to completely disable HDD monitoring;
or allow the user to configure the HDD polling interval. I can provide a video showing the continuous HDD activity while TURMO is running, as well as showing that the activity stops after TURMO is closed. Thank you! I hope this issue can be fixed in a future update.
